Scuba Diving Candidasa is simply amazing! With water sometimes a bit chilly and most of the time a fantastic visibility, Candidasa’s dive site offer a diverty of healthy coral and a great variety of animal life. There is 3 small island famous for sight of all kind of Sharks: Whitetip and Blacktip reef Shark, the rare wobbegong Shark, the very rare Cat Shark and even Hammerhead if you are lucky!

Ready to go scuba diving in CANDIDASA?

MIMPANG

Gili Mimpang dive site is a series of 3 big rocks followed by another 6 smaller rocks. This dive site is suitable for all divers but is best for advanced divers as the sharks can often be found below 25 m deep. Always be careful due to the current, it can be quite strong in the area.

What to see
Big schools of fish often congregate at the upper parts of the reef. Mimpang offer one of the best places to see healthy coral and big pelagics. It is one of the better locations in Bali to find sharks.

TEPEKONG

Tepekong (also known as the Canyon) is a dive site that features an awe-inspiring canyon. It is shaped like an amphitheater and is full of large marine life. The canyon consists of black stone walls which form the backdrop for numerous schools of different fish. This site is a great drift dive, but divers should be careful with the strong downward currents.

What to see
It has the marine species that are the highlights of this area, such as whitetip reef sharks and ocean sunfish. There are many unicornfish, sweetlips, batfish, and snapper that swim past all the types of hard and soft corals.

BIAHA

Due to possible strong currents this dive site is recommended only for advanced divers. Gili Biaha covers two very good sites: Shark Cave and Biaha Slope. When entering the cave divers usually get a chance to observe several white tip reef sharks resting in the darkness..

What to see
There are also plenty of lobsters, lion fish, clown fish and other reef species occupying this site.
